STEM School Grant Recipients

VERSACARE funded 189 Adventist schools to the tune of $1.42 million for their STEM Programs!

Versacare Foundation awarded $1,420,000 in grant funding to 189 Adventist primary and secondary schools across the United States and Canada in support of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).

This was Versacare Foundation’s fifth successive year funding STEM grants and marked the third consecutive year it funded every school that applied for a STEM grant.

My Story: Samantha, Teacher

The third try and my car still wouldn't start! I had just begun my brand new teaching career at the Seventh-day Adventist school in Mildura Victoria, Australia, and I had been having terrible car trouble getting to school each day. I so desperately wanted to enjoy my new teaching role, especially since the school also had a new Principal—Mr. Cyril Hill—who I also wanted to impress. But each morning my car just wouldn't start after it had hit a kangaroo and had ongoing engine troubles. Sure my teaching colleagues had been wonderful at coming to pick me up if my car completely failed to start, but this morning when I rang and said my car would not start again, Mr. Hill decided he would intervene. …

Students, parents, educators, and others, the office of Adventist Education would love to hear the story of what Adventist Christian education has meant to you. Your experience can encourage and inspire others who are unsure about their educational future, or that of their children, family members, or friends. Many have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior as a result of Adventist Education, and others have overcome spiritual, financial, or academic difficulties with God's strength. When you share your story, you’re making a difference. Give hope!
