ersacare Foundation is an independent private foundation which funds grants for programs and projects that are consistent with its mission and with the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
As of July 2025, the foundation has awarded more than $40,000,000 in grants with STEAM/K-12 grants totaling $4,984,367 through 995 grants since 2016.
The Versafund K-12 Grant Program is now open year-round to NAD and IAD primary, middle and secondary schools. Applications received January 1 through June 30 are eligible for funding in July, and applications received July 1 through December 31 are eligible for funding in January. Schools may apply once every three years, allowing them time to implement and grow their funded projects.
One of Versacare’s recent initiatives was its sponsorship of the STEM Experience booth at the 2023 NAD Educators’ Convention in Phoenix, Arizonia. Versacare partnered with LLU EXSEED, Florida Conference Innovation Lab, and the NAD Education Department. The booth featured hands-on STEM activities and breakout demonstrations. NAD Educators’ Convention in Phoenix, Arizona brought together about 6,000 educators and ministry leaders for four days of networking, professional development, and spiritual renewal. Versacare allocated $200,000 for mini-STEM grants valued at $500 each, which resulted in 400 STEM kits being awarded.

Versacare’s mission is to advance human dignity, health, and knowledge in a manner that reflects the Gospel of Jesus and furthers God’s kingdom.
Grant recipients have used funds to build Maker Spaces, develop greenhouses, launch robotics and coding, upgrade classroom devices, and equip rooms with Chromebooks and Promethean boards.
If you are an educator, parent, or supporter within the Adventist community, you can help by spreading the word. Many schools, especially smaller ones, may not realize that funding is available to support their vision.
