Guide Magazine Announces Online Writing Course
P.S.
The Young Writers Course from Guide Magazine is a new free online writing resource available for North American Division teachers and students. This course reveals crucial writing elements editors look for when considering a story for publication.
Appropriate for middle school through high school levels and some beginning college levels, the course is based on the book How to Write True Character-Building Stories for Kids by Guide editor Randy Fishell. The user-friendly course includes simple quizzes, with a more comprehensive test available for download.
All students whose stories are accepted for publication in Guide will receive an honorarium. Students whose stories are not accepted may still submit their stories for possible publication on the Guide website.
Create a free account and view the complete course on the home page at GuideMagazine.org. If you have any questions, please contact the Guide editors at guide.magazine@pacificpress.com.
Additionally, you may contact the editors to discuss holding a video conference with your class.

There is also a very active young writers online community at the Guide website.
